DR. LISA BRESHEARS

AACFAS, DPM

Dr. Breshears was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her undergraduate education was obtained at the University of Oklahoma where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Microbiology. Longing for milder weather, Dr. Breshears moved to California to attend podiatric medical school at Western University of Health Sciences. After graduating from podiatric medical school, she attended a 3-year surgical residency at Chino Valley Medical Center. The residency program exposed her to many different clinical settings including county hospitals with Level One and Level Two Trauma centers, community hospitals, private clinics, and wound care centers. She spent 6 months training with podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons on lower extremity trauma and reconstruction cases at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California.

During her last year of residency, Dr. Breshears served as a chief resident. She is part of the clinical faculty at Western University of Health Sciences, working closely with the students and residents. She is also a co-author of a chapter on diabetic foot complications in a book which is currently undergoing publication.

Whether it is conservative or surgical care, her passion for her profession is evident in the care that she gives to each and every patient.

During her free time, Dr. Breshears enjoys spending time with her husband and son, watching Oklahoma football, and eating all kinds of foods.
